Hi there.

I'm Rev. Nice to meetcha.

Maybe you found your way here from my account on Makerworld, Printables, or Thingiverse. Maybe YouTube. Maybe I dropped this link somewhere because you had a question and I thought I could help you out.

Either way, welcome to the Printorium!

But... who am I?
Why should you listen to me?

By day I'm a network architect in the bulk chemical logistics industry, but by night I slake my thirst for creativity by designing and printing various things - be them functional or decorative. My most played game of 2023 was "Fusion 360" 🤣

I started my FDM printing journey back in early 2019 when an Amazon flash-sale caught my eye and I bought an Ender 3X (aka the "upgraded" 8-bit original) for the amazingly low price of only $200 USD. I had taken a CAD class some 18 years prior in school and thought "Yeah, this'll be fun!"

About a month later when I finally had the thing printing reliably, I was hooked.

I still have that printer, and I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. While it's a bit of a "Printer of Theseus" in that the only original components on it are (most of) the frame and the power supply, it's my printer and I love it. I've got it running Klipper and reliably printing fast, still use it for things that like to print slowly like TPU and silk PLAs.

My real workhorse though is my Bambu Lab X1C. I picked that up in early 2023 and day-by-day it continues to impress me. If you're considering a printer - it's worth saving up to get one from Bambu Lab. Particularly considering their most recent A1 ... there's simply nothing on the consumer market that can compare, dollar for dollar.

I spend a lot of my time learning the ins-and-outs and technical side to both design and printing. I spent the majority of my time in Tinkercad until I saw my first light box tutorial from my buddy Pete, and told myself "that's it, you can do it." Turns out I've got a bit of a knack for it, and with every project I'm self-teaching myself new ways to be both faster and more precise.
